The Madras High Court has held the release of Chakra on OTT platform. The court ruled that the film should not be sold to OTT platform until September 30. Trident Arts Production counsel had earlier said that Vishal had asked the production house to make Action at Rs. 44 crore and that he would bear the production cost if the film didn’t make Rs. 20 crore at the box office. The film didn’t do well and the production house alleged that Vishal owed them Rs. 8 crore.

The actor and the production house seemed to have reached an agreement after Vishal agreed to act in another film to settle the amount and thus signed the deal for Chakra. However, the actor-director duo made Chakra with another producer, which was supposed to be produced by Trident Arts, said the counsel.
