Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam have joined forces for their next film, which has been titled 'Thug Life'. The title teaser of the film was launched on the occasion of Kamal Haasan's birthday, and it increased the buzz for the film. The pre-production work of the film has reached the final stage, and the makers have been making a perfect plan to take off the film. Meanwhile, actress Abhirami confirms being part of 'Thug Life', and she is happy to share the screen space with Kamal Haasan after 20 years.
Abhirami was earlier paired with Kamal Haasan in the 2004 Tamil release 'Virumaandi', and her chemistry with the actor worked well in the film. Abhirami is now excited to work with Kamal Haasan after a long gap, and she considers the film a special one as she will be joining the film shoot exactly on the occasion of 20 years of 'Virumaandi'. So, Abhirami has confirmed that the shooting of 'Thug Life' will commence in January on the occasion of Pongal.
'Thug Life' is reported to be a periodic gangster drama, and Kamal Haasan essays the role of Rengaraya Nayakar. The legendary actor will be seen performing new stunt techniques, and his first look was unveiled earlier through the title teaser. Jayam Ravi, Trisha, and Dulquer Salman are confirmed to be playing pivotal roles in 'Thug Life', and the film will have music composed by AR Rahman.
