Viral video sparks confusion: Rajinikanth's lookalike’s fall misidentified as the ‘Coolie’ actor

A video believed to involve actor Rajinikanth is currently going viral on social media. People are widely sharing videos of his early morning walk. That said, the video being shared shows him walking before falling down which calls its authenticity into question.The video shows an old man strolling through his home’s garden. Because of the rain and wet ground, the man slips and falls as he returns to pick up the newspaper. Then he rips himself up and starts walking again. Due to the grey hair on his head, his clothes, like half trousers and half-sleeved banyan, and the uniqueness of his gait, some assumed that the man in the video was Rajinikanth.Some people who saw this posted, “Take care, Thalaivaa.” On the other hand, some people created and shared memes and trolls using it. However, confirmation has now emerged that the person in this video is not Rajinikanth. Official statement has come from the team stating that the confusion caused because the person’s face in the video was not clearly visible, and that Rajinikanth is currently fine.Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s next release, ‘Coolie’, is preparing to hit big screens on August 14. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the pan-Indian film also stars Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Reba Monic John, among others, in important roles. Also, Aamir Khan plays a powerful cameo to appear in the film’s climax, while Pooja Hegde makes a special appearance for the song ‘Monica’. The trailer of the film is set to be unveiled on August 2, while the makers have also scheduled a grand audio launch on the same day.
