Actor Vikranth’s
Bakrid has been cleared with a U certificate by the Censor Board. Bakrid is a drama written and directed by Jagadeesan Subbu. The film’s star cast includes
Vikranth Santhosh, Vasundhara Kashyap and Vaipuri. Bakrid’s story revolves around a camel and the bond between Vikranth and the animal. Interestingly, this is the first time that Tamil cinema is making a film with a camel as protagonist.
The camel named Sarah was brought from Rajasthan with necessary permissions.
Music for the film is by Imman, while cinematography is by Vishnu GK. Editing is being handled by Ruben. The film is said to be a unique one as the tale revolves around how the arrival of the camel changes Vikranth’s life. The actor was last seen in Suttu Pidikka Utharavu. The film’s director Jagadeesan Subbu had earlier made Sigai and the lead actress Vasundhara had appeared in Peranmai. The film is all set to hit screens on August 9th.
