The trend of re-release of films in Tamil s catching up like wild fire with theatres across the state joining in and re-releasing hit films. While the fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Vikram-starrer 'Thangalaan', looks like the star actor's hit 2002 action drama, 'Gemini', might have a re-release in theatres soon.
The film hit the screens two days ahead of the Tamil New Year on 12 April 2002. On the occasion of the film completing 22 years, actor Vikram took to his social media to hint that the film might have a re-release soon.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Vikram wrote, "Thank you so much.. for all the love pouring in today. Interesting updates .. in few more days. Any guesses?? & don’t forget to ஓ போடு!! ❤️"
Directed by Saran, the film featured Vikram and Kiran in the lead roles. The actor played a good-hearted rowdy in the film and his trademark symbol 'Gemini' was a rage at that point of time and even today one of the most used symbols by his fans.
