Vikraman wins Director's Union election!

Director Vikraman has emerged successful as the new president of Tamil Nadu Thiraipada Iyakkunar Sangam (TANTIS). Vikraman will now take over the post from Bharatiraja, who recently quit his position following unrest among association members.
Election for the head of Tamil Nadu Film Directors' Association was held on 9 June, 2013 in which yesteryear director Visu and Vikraman contested against each other and director Vikraman has emerged victorious.
The Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association's (TANTIS) got a new building named 'Padaippagam' located in Valasaravakkam recently. The association had its first election in 1975. In the year, 1995, the association divided into separate unions based on language.
