Actor Vikram, who was recently discharged from the hospital in Chennai, is said to be attending the audio launch of his next film ‘Cobra’ which will be held on July 11.



The announcement was made by the movie makers on July 9 which clarified the speculations made over Vikram’s health. Director Ajay Gnanamuthu’s tweet read, “The grand audio launch of ‘Cobra’ on July 11 at the Phoenix Market City, Chennai, in the presence of Chiyaan Vikram.”



Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, ‘Cobra’ is a scientific action thriller and it stars Vikram, Srinidhi Shetty, Mia George, Roshan Mathew, Kanika and Mrinalini Ravi. The film also stars cricketer Irfan Pathan who is making his acting debut. The movie will be released on August 11.





Vikram was recently admitted to a hospital after falling unwell. Dhruv Vikram, the actor’s son also clarified that Vikram was admitted only after a fever and he did not suffer from cardiac arrest as the rumours said on July 8.



Meanwhile, Vikram was said to attend Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ teaser but had to miss it because of his health.
