Vikram Prabhu's 'Raid' to stream on OTT from THIS date
Vikram Prabhu is one of the most promising actors in Tamil cinema, and he delivers films regularly to keep himself active among the audience. Vikram Prabhu last delivered the cop drama 'Raid', and the film was released on the occasion of Diwali. As the film is set to complete a month of theatrical run, the makers have been preparing for the film's OTT release. A popular digital platform has bagged the OTT rights to 'Raid' and the film will be streaming on the platform from December 8. 'Raid' will be available only in Tamil, and the makers have to stick to the original language release instead of releasing it in multiple dubbed languages.
'Raid' is the Tamil remake of the Kannada film 'Tagaru', and Vikram Prabhu reprised Shiva Rajkumar's role in the remake. Directed by Karthi, 'Raid' had multiple changes in the screenplay to suit the Tamil audience, but the film failed to earn positive reviews. 'Raid' clashed with Karthi's 'Japan' and Raghava Lawrence's 'Jigarthanda DoubleX' at the box office, and the Vikram Prabhu starrer is the least-performed film among the Diwali releases. Vikram Prabhu had four releases in 2023, but the actor heavily disappointed fans after delivering three superhit performances.
Sri Divya played the female lead, while Ananthika, Rishi Rithvik, and Soundararaja played important roles. Sam CS scored the music, and the film was a box-office failure for Vikram Prabhu.
