Vikram Prabhu will be playing the character of an armed reserve policeman in an untitled feel-good drama based on an incident that took place in Taanakkaran director Tamizh’s life.
Suresh, who previously worked with Vetri Maaran as an associate, tells us that his debut directorial will chronicle the story of a police officer and an accused.
In a chat with us, Suresh shares, “Tamizh has worked as a police officer for about 14 years, so the film is the story of an accused he had met. I couldn’t personally meet the accused because this incident happened in 2003, but met people who went through similar incidents in their lives.”
Suresh continues that Vikram Prabhu was already aware of the story as Tamizh and he worked together in Taanakkaran. The film will be shot in Chennai, Vellore and Sivaganga.
The character of the accused will be essayed by newcomer Akshay Kumar LK. The first-time filmmaker calls Vetri Maaran his mentor and says, “I worked with Vetri sir from Visaaranai to Viduthalai: Part I. Varsha Bharath, the director of Bad Girl, and I worked with him around the same time and he is very happy that I’m also entering films.”
