Vikram Prabhu has danced well in IVM
His film, Ivan Vera Maathiri (IVM), might be gearing up for release, but director Saravanan says he has no last minute jitters or butterflies in the stomach feeling. Weve done our best, and Im hoping audience will like what they see on the screen, he begins confidently.
Saravanan is unwilling to tell us what the film, starring Vikram Prabhu and Surabhi in the lead, is all about, except that it will be an engaging romantic action thriller.
1x1 polls
There will be commercial elements in the film as well, and some interesting montage song sequences. Vikram has danced really well in the film, he smiles.
Quiz the director if he had Vikram in his mind when he started the casting process, and he says, No. I dont write a script keeping actors in mind. An actor is someone who should fit into any kind of a role by adapting themselves, and he (Vikram Prabhu) is one such person. After he came onboard, I asked him to shed a few kilos and change his body language. Even Surabhi had to act like a pucca south Indian girl and work on her diction. So, we had a one-month training session with her before we started rolling. The rest of the cast, including Ganesh Venkatram, Vamsi and Arirajan, fit their roles perfectly.
So, did he face any challenges at all while filming IVM? The only hitch we faced was when we had to find an under-construction building to shoot in. This building is of utmost importance to the script, and after a lot of hunting around, we found one in OMR. Its a tall building, with almost 18 floors. We had to walk up and down several times. It was very exhaustive, but since we worked as a team, we managed it, signs off Saravanan.
