'Vikram' actress Gayathrie Shankar reacts to Lokesh Kanagaraj romancing Shruti Haasan, 'You chopped my head off when I did romance in your film, what is this?'

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is gearing up for his new collaboration with Shruti Haasan in a romantic single titled ‘Inimel’. The recent video featuring Shruti and Lokesh in an intimate romantic scene has been creating an internet frenzy. Lokesh is known for creating a cinematic universe with action films like ‘Vikram’, ‘Leo’, and ‘Kaithi’. Now, as the director is getting ready to try something new in the romance genre, far from the action genre, his ‘Vikram’ movie actress Gayathrie Shankar has lit up a fun banter on social media.

When the producers of ‘Inimel’ shared this romantic video of Shruti and Lokesh, netizens started mentioning Gayathrie in the comment box and shared a lot of memes about her death in the Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Vikram’. Gayathrie soon re-shared the video and wrote, “Unga padathula romance panna thalayai vettittu.. What is this ma @Dir_Lokesh!? ����(You chopped my head off when I did romance in your film, what is this?).


This funny reaction has been leading to a funny fight on Twitter as one mentioned, “Let’s see if Shruti survives till the end of this song, (paattu mudiyumbothu shruti irupaangalaanu paapom firstu.) In ‘Vikram’, the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of 2022 by Lokesh, Gayathrie was playing the role of Fahadh Faasil’s character’s partner. As the antagonist, Vijay Sethupathi, found out that Fahadh is the secret agent, he killed Gayathrie in a brutal way by cutting her head off her body. The scene in which her body was kept inside the car without a head was a gross moment in the film. On the work front, Gayathrie was last seen in a Malayalam film 'Corona Papers' directed by Priyadarshan.
