Actor and stand-up comedian Vikram Arul Vidyapathi aka Vikkals Vikram garnered fame after his Instagram reels imitating music artistes went viral on social media.
In a chat with us, he shares that his comedy is his politics. He also talks about pursuing multiple mediums all at once and adds, “I don’t treat stand-up and content creation as inferior to acting. The difference between the three is that I’m the star in my stand-up shows and Instagram reels, but I’m a cast member in my films. There, I have to be a team player.”
About the roles he prefers to do as an actor, Vikram says, “I’m interested in comedy roles because I know those are the only ones I will get. After all, the industry works like that. If they find somebody who can perform comedy, they are only given comedy roles.”
