Vijay's 'Varisu' on OTT; The film to stream on a rental basis

Vijay starrer 'Varisu' has its theatrical release this Pongal and the film transformed into a box office blockbuster. Now, the latest report says that Vijay's 'Varisu' will stream on OTT on a rental basis. 'Varisu' had great occupancy for the last weekend, and the film is still having a strong hold on its fifth week of its theatrical run. This has delayed the film's OTT release, and the digital team has decided to stream the film from the coming weekend on a rental basis. However, the family drama will be available for free on a popular OTT platform for its subscribers from February 22.

Meanwhile, Ajith's 'Thunivu', which clashed with Vijay's 'Varisu' at the box office this Pongal, is available for now streaming on a popular OTT platform, and this has made the wait of Vijay fans a longer one.

'Varisu' has grossed over Rs 300 crores and the makers have confirmed the film's box office achievement officially with a new poster a few days back. The family drama is expected to pull in fans to theatres for the fifth weekend, and the film is set to become Vijay's highest-grossing film.

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, 'Varisu' is about a businessman and his three sons. Vijay delivered an all-round performance packed with romance, comedy, action, and sentiment, while Rashmika Mananndana, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Jaya Sudha, Srikanth, Shaam, Ganesh Venkatraman, and Prabhu played important roles. Thaman delivered entertaining songs and a background score for the film, and his music added more power to the film.
