Dil Raju and directed by 'Maharshi' fame
Vamshi Paidipally.Though the film was launched in October, the shooting of the untitled flick is yet to begin and is expected to commence soon. In a recent interview to a television channel, producer Dil Raju has revealed that '
Thalapathy 66
' will be a family-centric story.
Referring to Vijay's earlier films like 'Poove Unakkaga' and 'Thulladha Manamum Thullum' from the 90s, Dil Raju said, "Vijay is doing a film on those lines after a long time and that director Vamshi is trying to give the best output. 'Thalapathy 66' has a very good story line and will be a heart-touching family entertainer with a complete package of action, mass elements and good songs."
While the makers are planning to release the film for the Diwali festival 2022, the shooting of the film is reported to commence from March, 2022. Acclaimed actor Prakash Raj, who has has previously shared screen space with actor Vijay in films like Ghilli, Pokkiri, Sivakasi and Villu is also part of the cast. Rest of the cast and crew is yet to be announced. The film has music composed by S Thaman.
