Vijay's speech at 'Sarkar' audio launch

Actor Vijay made a stunning speech at the audio of his upcomingh film 'Sarkar' which is set to hit the screens for Diwali this year. The crowd roared 'Thalapathy Thalapathy', as Vijay walked up on to the stage to deliver his speech.

When the anchor asked Vijay if he would be seen playing the role of a chief minister in the film, he denied it. When quizzed if he would become a real-life CM, Vijay replied “If I become the Chief Minister, then I won’t just act like one, but will do my job with sincerity.”

On the oscar winning composer AR Rahman, Vijay said that his presence as music composer for the film is like the movie getting an Oscar. Complimenting director AR Murugadoss, Vijay said that his previous film 'Mersal' directed by Atlee had a little politics in involved, but with 'Sarkar', AR Murugadoss has done 'mersal' (fantastic job) with politics as the crux.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film is set to hit the screen for Diwali this year. Talking about Sun Pictures' Kalanithi Maran, Vijay said, "Nithi is the kind of person who will give plenty to develop art and that could probably be the reason he has been named Kalanithi. Wonder if his name was kept knowing he will be like this or if he is like this becasue of his name".

Hinting at a possible entry into polictics, Thalapathy Vijay said, "One can work hard for success for a long time. But, there are some who are working to not allow others succeed. If one remains calm when being pestered and quiet when troubled, life will be great. Nornally, a Sarkar is formed after winning the elections, but we are going to form a Sarkar and only then contest - I'm talking only about the film here, friends. If you like our film, do vote."

He went on to comment about polictics saying, "The first thing I want to change if I become the CM is corruption. The state needs a good leader, only when the leader is corrupt free, will the others below him also be without corruption. Justice and righteousness will win but might take some time."

Talking about Varalaxmi Sarathkumar he said, "I was informed about Varalaxmi's inclusion in the film quite late. The truth is it is not good to send back the 'Vara' Lakshmi that comes our way."

Comedian Yogi Babu is a part of the huge cast and about him Vijay said, "Yogi Babu - a monstrous growth. I'm not referring to your hair, but your acting skills."

Directed by A R Murugadoss, 'Sarkar' stars Vijay, Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Radha Ravi in lead roles. AR Rahman has composed five songs for the movie, “Simtaangaran”, “Oruviral Puratchi”, “Toptucker”, “OMG Ponnu” and “CEO in the House”.
