Vijay's 'Kaavalan' 5 crore loss: Sakthi Chidambaram responds to allegations against him

Vijay's romantic action drama 'Kaavalan', directed by Siddique was released in 2011, and it received great reviews. The film was the Tamil remake of the director's own Malayalam film 'Bodyguard'. Recently, Sundar has accused director and producer Shakthi Chidambaram of extorting Rs 24 lakh from him by promising to sell the distribution rights of Vijay's 'Kaavalan'. Now, Sakthi Chidambaram responds to the allegations levelled against him in Vijay's 'Kaavalan' distribution.

As per the latest reports, Sakthi Chidambaram had bought the distribution rights of Vijay's 2011 Pongal release 'Kaavalan'. The film's run was cut short due to the political crisis. Due to a few issues, the film secured Rs 5 crore but he sold the Satellite rights to a popular network for Rs 5.5 crore. But he has only received only half of the amount from the network, and the case is still ongoing at the court. He promises to hand over the money to Sundar and other borrowers once the remaining amount is settled.Sakthi Chidambaram has blamed Sundar for filing a new complaint at the police station by hiding the ongoing case at the court. Sundar has also received some money from Sakthi Chidambaram by saying that his family is in trouble. Vijay's 'Kaavalan' case has been going on for years, and he assured to return the money to Sundar when the case is over and the verdict comes.
