Vijay's 'Bigil' and Karthi's 'Kaithi' box office collection affected by rains

Diwali releases Vijay's ‘Bigil’ and Karthi's ‘Kaithi’ are enjoying a glorious run at the box office, despite heavy rains on Wednesday. In the Chennai Vijay's 'Bigil' has earned Rs 8.5 crore while Karthi's 'Kaithi' made Rs 2.10 crore.

The downpour affected the early morning shows of both the films but it picked up by the evening shows. 'Bigil' has had twice the audience of 'Kaithi' since Vijay is a favourite with the family audience.Although rains affected the morning shows of 'Bigil' and 'Kaithi', theater owners were happy as it was much needed for Tamil Nadu. Distributors are calling both the Diwali releases massive money spinners.
