Vijayalakshmi turns glam

Vijayalakshmi is on cloud nine. After waiting for months, her long -awaited Adhe Neram Adhe Idam (ANAI) with Jai is releasing for Deepavali. A lot is riding on the film for Viji, as she is affectionately known.
The actress, known for her girl-next-door looks in films like Chennai-28 and Anjaathey is turning glamorous with a vengeance.
Talking about her new look, the bubbly actress says, ���������������������������Yes I���������������������������m doing a very glamorous role in ANAI, and have gone in for a complete makeover.I have worn revealing, modern clothes and have also done a very glamorous song for the film. I hope the audiences will accept me in my new avatar.��������������������������� The buzz in trade circles is that the film, a campus caper is a feel-good entertainer, which has been directed by debutant M Prabhu. The film also boasts of peppy songs by Premji Amaran, who is making his debut as a music director.
The grapevine has it that during the making of the film, Jai and Viji fell in love and were quite a pair. Viji and Jai were part of the Venkat Prabhu gang during the making of Chennai-28, though they were not romantically paired in the film. Love between the two blossomed during the making of ANAI, which was capitalised by the director M Prabhu, who made them do bold scenes. Vijayalakshmi is said to have worn hot pants and short skirts in the film. An erotic number, Vennilavu... was picturised on Jai and her. In another scene, she gets hiccups and since there is no water to drink, Jai kisses her to stop the hiccups!
However, Viji dismisses the so- called romance between Jai and her as something that is being ���������������������������blown out of proposition by the press���������������������������. Says Vijayalakshmi with a smile, ���������������������������It may sound clich������������������d, but we are just good friends. I���������������������������m very comfortable with him because we have a lot in common.��������������������������� There were rumours making the round that Viji is getting married, but the actress slams these rumours and says, ���������������������������I have no marriage plans in the near future as I���������������������������m doing Katradu Kalavu with Krishna, and my animated Sultan - The Warrior with Rajini sir will release soon.
