Vijayalakshmi congratulates her father director Agathiyan on Kadhal Kottai anniversary

Thala Ajith and Devayani’s Kadhal Kottai completes 24 years today and many have taken to social media to reminisce some fond memories about the film. While director Thiru said that the film changed the grammar of screenplay altogether, fans of Thala Ajith have been trending the film with the hashtag #24YearsofKadhalKottai. The film was directed by Agathiyan.
Actress Vijayalakshmi, daughter of the director took to her micro-blogging page to congratulate her father.She said that it was due to her father that she is what she is today. She wrote, “25 years of kadhal kottai. So proud that u were the First one to receive a national award in tamil as a director.Still remember the happiness that lit your face that day. Will cherish it forever. You r the reason I’m here today. Thanks pa @ahathians.” (sic)
Director CS Amudhan quipped that many other epics released on the same day hinting at the release date of his Tamizh Padam 2, which celebrates two years today. Vijayalakshmi said that she couldn’t agree more.
