Actor turned politician, Vijayakanth, who has been battling some illness for a few years and has been in and out of the hospital. While the popular actor underwent treatment at a private hospital in Chennai earlier this month, he was discharged a couple of weeks ago. Now, the latest is that he has again been admitted to a private hospital due to ill health on Tuesday late evening.
A medical bulletin from a private hospital read, "DMDK president Vijayakanth was brought to the hospital after 15 days for a routine health check-up. He is in good health. After the check-up, he will return home by Thursday, December 28."
Vijayakant, who has previously undergone a kidney transplant surgery, has been preiodically visiting the hospital for such examinations.
A statement issued by Vijayakanth's political party, the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) said that that former actor has has been admitted in hospital for his regular check up and that he is completely fine.
