Vijay to act in an English film?

If sources in the industry are to be believed, a European firm seems to be interested in casting Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the lead role of an English film it intends to make.
It may be recalled that Chennai Times had broken the story of a European firm buying the English and German remake rights of a yet-to-be released Tamil film, titled Onnume Puriyala, directed by Apsara Ramkumar.Says a source in the industry, ���Apparently, the firm intends to make the movie in English first before having it dubbed in German. They felt that a top hero from the Indian sub-continent would be apt for this role even in the English version and got in touch with the producer of the Tamil version, who is believed to have suggested Vijay���s name. The makers were impressed with Vijay and through the Tamil producer, have got in touch with Vijay���s dad SA Chandrasekaran in this regard. However, the actor is yet to respond to the offer.���
