Vijay Sethupathi's son Surya to act in his film 'Viduthalai'

Director Vetrimaaran is currently shooting for the film ‘Viduthalai’ starring Vijay Sethupathi, Soori and Bhavani Sre in lead roles. The film was adapted from the novel named ‘Thunaivan’ which was written by Jeyamohan. The shooting for the film happened in various locations of Tamil Nadu and the final scheduled shooting of the movie is said to take place soon.

Now, there is a new buzz that Vijay Sethupathi’s son Surya is reportedly set to join the cast of the movie to play one of the important roles. According to reports, Surya who already made his debut by playing a minor role in ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan’ will be playing the role of a tribal teenager in the boy in ‘Viduthalai’.



The movie also has director and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj and Kishore playing important roles. ‘Viduthalai’ is a crime thriller and the initial shooting for the movie began in 2019. The first look of the film was released in April 2021 and it is now expected that the film will be released at the end of this year.



On the work front, Vetrimaaran will begin shooting for the film ‘Vaadivaasal’ starring Suriya as the lead in August.
