Vijay Sethupathi to play a musician in this film

One of the busiest actors in town, Vijay Sethupathi, has taken on yet another project. He has teamed up with debutant director Venkata Krishna Roghanth for a film, in which he will be playing a musician.
Roghanth says, “I have assisted SP Jhananathan sir and have known Vijay Sethupathi from the time he did Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai with him. In fact, it was my director sir who told Vijay Sethupathi that I had a story and that he should do it if he liked it.I asked him if I could meet him for a narration, and he agreed. He liked the script and agreed to do the film, but he also told me that he has signed on a slew of films and that I might’ve to wait for a while.”
Talking about the film, he says, “It’s a music-based subject with international sensibilities. There will be two heroines, and one of them will be a foreigner.”
The filmmaker adds, “I think this is the first time that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing a musician. He will be doing a short prep course and learn to play some musical instrument. Another interesting aspect is that the audience can get to see a young Vijay Sethupathi. He has been experimenting with his looks and has played older characters in his last few films. But in this, he will be playing a youngster. After working with biggies and doing a film with Rajinikanth, I am happy that he is working with a debutant like me.”
