dubbing
for the film now. This includes the film's lead Vijay Sethupathi, and actor Kalaiyarasan, who plays a key role in it. The team has released a few stills of
Vijay Sethupathi and
Kalaiyarasan dubbing at the dubbing studio, under the supervision of Jhananthan.
Even as the battle against COVID-19 rages on, as part of the #Unlock measures, the state government has allowed post-production works to be resumed in Kollywood, and many films have been finishing their dubbing works to be ready for release once theatres are allowed to open.
Vijay Sethupathi and
Shruti Haasan are coming together for the first time in this action drama, which is bankrolled by the actor himself along with Arumuga Kumar, who directed Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren.
Laabam is set against the backdrop of a village and the story revolves around Vijay Sethupathi's character. The actor plays a social activist who fights for the cause of the common man. In typical Jananathan style, the subject will be revolutionary and have a strong message, the team says. Shruti Haasan will have a bold role, which will be packed with surprises, we are told.
Jagapathi Babu plays the antagonist in the film, which also has
Sai Dhanshika (who acted in Jhananathan's Peraanmai)
Prithvi Pandiarajan in an important role. After beginning the shoot in Rajapalayam, the team has shot the film in various locations in Tamil Nadu.
