Vijay Sethupathi fulfills his promise

Lenin Bharathi’s Merku Thodarchi Malai has been doing the rounds at international film festivals. Interestingly, Lenin Bharathi had worked as an assistant director in Suseenthiran's Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu , in which Vijay Sethupathi played a small role. During the making of the film, Lenin had narrated a script to the actor and the latter had promised to produce the film when he earned good money.
Keeping his word, Vijay Sethupathi has produced the film Merku Thodarchi Malai, which has been in the making for the last three years. Maestro Ilaiayaraaja has scored the music for the film and the songs from the album were released recently.The film revolves around the farmers in the Theni-Kerala border.
