Vijay Sethupathi and Mammootty to team up for director Manikandan's next

Vijay Sethupathi is one of the powerhouse talents in Tamil cinema, and he is busy shooting for his film across languages. On the other hand, Mammootty is one of the legendary actors in Malayalam cinema, and he appears in Tamil films occasionally. Now, the latest report suggests that Vijay Sethupathi and Mammootty will unite for the National Award-winning film director's next film. Director Manikandan impressed fans with 'Kaaka Muttai' which bagged the National Film Award for Best Children's Film, and the director has done four films then as he takes time to deliver quality films. Manikandan is now ready with his next film, and the film will have Vijay Sethupathi and Mammootty in the lead roles.


The initial talks for the film are on with both the leading actors and the announcement is expected to be made once the final documents are settled. Manikandan has finished the pre-production work for the film, while a few other popular faces are also expected to join the film.


Manikandan last delivered 'Kadaisi Vivasayi' in February and the film is about the life of an aged farmer and an unexpected problem faced by him. Vijay Sethupathi played a cameo role in the film, and it marked his second film under Manikandan's direction. So, the new film will be Vijay Sethupathi's third film with Manikandan and we have to wait to see what character the director has for the actor.
