Vijay Kumar's film with Tamizh titled 'Election'

‘Uriyadi’ fame actor Vijay Kumar's upcoming film is directed by Seththumaan fame Thamizh. While the shooting of the film was wrapped up in a single-stretch schedule of 62 days earlier in September 2023, the makers have revealed that the film has been titled 'Election'.

Going by the title and the first look poster, looks like the film is about politics revolving around elections. Revealing the first look poster, Vijay Sethupathi wrote, "Excited to unveil the first look of @Vijay_B_Kumar's next titled #ELECTION! Sending best wishes to the entire team."


Produced by Aditya of Reel Good Films, the film has ‘Ayodhi’ fame Preethi Asrani and newcomer Richa Joshi play the female lead characters. ‘Vathikuchi’ fame Dhiliban, Kaithi fame George Mariyan, ‘Vadachennai’ fame Paval Navaneethan and many more prominent actors are a part of this star cast.

‘96’ fame Govind Vasantha is composing music for this film, and Mahendran Jayaram is handling cinematography. Celebrated writer Azhagiya Periyavan, Vijaykumar, and Thamizh have penned the dialogues. CS Prem Kumar of the National award-winning movie Kuttram Kadithal takes care of the editing.
