Vijay completes 21 years in Kollywood

Ilayathalapathy Vijay completes 21 years in Tamil cinema today, whose first film titled 'Naalaiya Theerpu' released on 4 December 1992 and marked the entry of Vijay into the film industry. The entire Tamil film industry seems to be happy about such an achievement and wishes have been pouring in from all quarters.
The star actor has acted in 56 films so far and is now awaiting the release of his film 'Jilla' for Pongal on January 10th, 2014.The successful actor will next team up with director A R Murugadoss for the second time after their stupendous success with 'Thuppakki'.
After the setting the stage on fire several times over the years, one can look at Vijay's career and be impressed by his statistics of producing hits. Vijay is one of the top three stars in Kollywood whose films do business of more than 50 Crore. Though the star actor has had some bad patches, the long list of successful films includes Poove Unakkaga, Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Kushi, Ghilli, Pokkiri, Nanbanand Thuppakki.
