Vijay Antony's 'Pichaikkaran 2' will not be directed by Sasi?

Actor-turned-music director Antony has acted in a variety of stories and developed himself as a notable actor in Tamil cinema. The 2016 action thriller 'Pichaikkaran' established Vijay Antony as a talented star in front of a wide audience, and the film which was directed by Sasi bagged highly positive reviews. Recently, reports about 'Pichaikkaran 2' shaping up have been surfacing on the internet and fans have been expecting an announcement from Vijay Antony soon.But now, the latest reports are speculating that Vijay Antony's 'Pichaikkaran 2' may not be directed by Sasi who directed its prequel.

A few days ago, Vijay Antony posted a poll on his Twitter page, quizzing fans and asking them to register their opinion regarding the upcoming sequel of one of his earlier films. So far, 'Pichaikkaran' has received many votes from the audience, and it looks like 'Pichaikkaran 2' is on the cards. But there will be a bigger change in the director of the sequel since Vijay Antony will be reportedly joining hands with the National Award-winning director Priya Krishnaswamy of 'Baaram' fame. He is expected to direct 'Pichaikkaran 2' and the official announcement regarding the film is expected to be made on July 24 on the occasion of Vijay Antony's birthday.
Vijay Antony has films like 'Thamezharasan' with Babu Yogeswaran, 'Agni Siragugal' with Naveen and 'Khaki' with Senthilkumar in the pipeline.
