Vijay and i are friends: Suriya

The Deepavali releases have struck a chord with the audiences, at least if one were to go by the version of the actors who starred in them.
Suriya is thrilled with the response that his 7aum Arivu is getting at the BO. ���Singam was my highest grosser till now but this film has surpassed even that. What���s very interesting is that a lot of exhibitors and distributors told me that a new set of audiences ��� who haven���t watched films for a while ��� came to watch this movie.I���m happy about that.���
Meanwhile, a scribe compared the two big Tamil Deepavali releases ��� 7aum Arivu and Velayudham ��� and asked why ���both the heroes were fighting neighbouring countries��� (Suriya fights China and Vijay fights Pakistan).
A smiling Suriya said, ���With respect to 7aum Arivu���s story, it���s something you have to ask Murugadoss. He worked on the story for more than a year and it���s his idea.��� Both Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have appreciated the hard work he���s put in 7aum Arivu. When asked if he has watched the Vijay-starrer Velayudham, Suriya said, ���No, not yet.��� He went on to add, ���Vijay and I are friends.���
