Vidya Balan in talks for playing the female lead in 'KH 234'

Kamal Haasan has signed up for his next film with director Mani Ratnam which is tentatively titled 'KH 234'. The duo are collaborating after three decades. Since 'Nayagan', Mani Ratnam has not worked with Kamal Haasan and 'KH 234' is said to be one of the important films of the director.
It was earlier reported that actress Nayanthara was approached to play the female lead in the movie but news reports suggest that as the actress was not able to agree for the movie, Vidya Balan has been approached to play the female lead.However, the official confirmation of the female lead of the movie is awaited.
Vidya Balan made her Kollywood debut with the film 'Ner Konda Paarvai' starring alongside Ajith. The actress gained major support and fame from the south after she played in the biography of 'Silk Smitha'.
On the work front, Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for his film 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar. The film features Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Bobby Simha and Priya Bhavani Shankar in important roles. The music for the movie is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
