Ajith Kumar's highly anticipated film 'Vidaamuyarchi', directed by
Magizh Thirumeni, is set to hit theatres on February 6. This marks Ajith's return to the big screen after a two-year gap since the release of 'Thunivu' in 2023. Initially planned for a Pongal release, the film's launch was postponed to February, heightening fans' excitement. With pre-bookings underway, theatres are already witnessing housefull shows for the first day, particularly in major cinema chains across Chennai. However, ticket sales are yet to start at major multiplexes, and permissions for special early morning shows are still awaited.
Despite these challenges, 'Vidaamuyarchi' has already garnered a pre-release collection of Rs 6 crores through advance bookings in Tamil Nadu alone, according to Cine Ulagam. International markets are also showing strong demand, with pre-bookings surpassing Rs 4 crore, and the overall collection of the film has surpassed Rs 10 crore with 3 days to go for the film's release. Industry insiders predict that the film's pre-booking revenue could touch the Rs 20-crore mark, making it one of Ajith's most awaited films in recent years, and the popular actor is set to prove he is the 'King Of Opening'. Fans are eagerly counting down to experience the actor's signature style and action-packed performance on the big screen.
