Vetri Maaran has decided to have two different versions of 'Viduthalai 2'; the one that will premiere at the IFFR 2023 will be a shorter version, and the theatrical release will have an extended version. The surprising fact is that Vetri Maaran hasn't completed the shooting of 'Viduthalai 2', and he still has some patchwork to complete. So, the wait for 'Viduthalai 2' is going to be an extended one; let's wait for the director to officially announce the film's theatrical release date.

'Viduthalai' is inspired by the novel 'Thunaivan' written by Jeyamohan, and the film features Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, and Bhavani Sri in the main roles. The sequel will have more add-ons as Manju Warrier and 'Attakathi' Dinesh have joined the film's cast. 'Viduthalai', which was earlier planned to be completed on a budget of Rs 5 crore, has now been made on a budget of approximately Rs 70 crore. The sequel will be more grand and bigger than the previous part, and the expectations for the film are increasing as the wait continues.
