Vikram’s latest action-packed entertainer ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’, directed by S.U. Arun Kumar, has crossed the Rs 38 crore mark at the Indian box office within 12 days of its release.
Dip in weekdaysWhile the film witnessed a gradual dip in collections during weekdays, it has managed to maintain a steady hold overall, earning a total of Rs 38.40 crore (India net) across all languages, according to early estimates from Sacnilk.
The film opened modestly on Day 1 with Rs 3.2 crore and showed a healthy growth over the weekend, peaking on Sunday with Rs 6.75 crore. Week 1 wrapped up with a solid total of Rs 30.25 crore. Despite the natural weekday slowdown, Veera Dheera Sooran kept its momentum alive into the second weekend with encouraging numbers: Rs 2.6 crore on Day 10 and Rs 2.85 crore on Day 11. On its twelfth day, the film earned approximately Rs 1 crore, bringing the overall collection to Rs 38.40 crore.
Veera Dheera Sooran Movie ReviewOccupancy rates for the Vikram starrerOn Monday, April 7, Veera Dheera Sooran recorded an overall 14.01% occupancy in Tamil Nadu theaters. Night shows witnessed the highest turnout at 16.21%, followed by afternoon shows at 15.05%. The Telugu-dubbed version, while more modest in performance, has shown consistent contributions throughout the run.
Starring Vikram Kennedy in the lead, the film also features a strong ensemble cast including S. J. Suryah, Dushara Vijayan, Siddique, and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
Though it faces tough competition from other regional and pan-Indian releases, Veera Dheera Sooran is doing a decent business at the box office. Our review for the film says, “‘Veera Dheera Sooran is a solid thriller undone by a conventional, weakly written third act.”
