Varma Kalai Aasan Rajendran's battle with Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' continues

'Indian 2' featuring Kamal Haasan in the lead role has been released in theatres today (July 12), and the film is off to a grand start. But 'Indian 2' faced a struggle two days before the film's release as Varma Kalai Aasan Rajendran, who helped Kamal Haasan with the ancient technique in the 1996 'Indian', has sought a ban on the film for using his mudras without his consent. But the Madurai High Court Bench, which heard the case, has dismissed the complaint, and refused to issue a ban for 'Indian 2'. However, Varma Kalai Aasan Rajendran has decided to continue his battle with the 'Indian 2' team. Aasan Rajendran's team has raised the allegation that the 'Indian 2' team has used their trademarks in the film.

According to Aasan Rajendran's lawyer, the 'Indian 2' team has refused to accept the fact as they claimed that they have used mudras suggested by Prakasm Gurukkal. Also, there has been no evidence submitted by the 'Indian 2' for the claim. So, Aasan Rajendran's legal team has asked for proof to submit the claim made by the 'Indian 2' team, and the next hearing of the case has now been scheduled to happen on July 30.

Meanwhile, the legal team of the 'Indian 2' makers had said that no one has the right to claim Varma Kalai created by Agastya and refused to accept the claim from Aasan Rajendran.
