Vijay's next film has been titled 'Varisu' and the film is releasing simultaneously in Telugu titled 'Vaarasudu'. The Tamil version has been slated to arrive in theatres on Jan 11, while the Telugu version was also expected to release on the same date. But the 'Varisu' Telugu version 'Vaarasudu' has now been postponed to Jan 14, and
Vijay misses the pre-release event.
'Vaarasudu' Telugu pre-release event happened today in Hyderabad, while fans were shocked over the event as the main cast and crew missed out and it was only attended by the producer and Telugu actor Srikanth. Also, Dil Raju has announced that 'Vaarasudu' will release on Jan 14 as two Telugu big Sankranti releases Chiranjeevi's 'Walter Veeraiya' and Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Veera Simha Reddy' are slated to release on Jan 12 and it might affect 'Varisu' Telugu version.
However, Dil Raju has assured that Vijay will arrive in Hyderabad for 'Varisu' aka 'Vaarasudu' promotions for sure, and he feels that the postponement will have time for the film to get promoted well in Telugu states. 'Vaarasudu' is yet to be censored, and this might also be the reason for the film's postponement. On the other hand, Telugu actor Srikanth has expressed his happiness about doing a Tamil film, and assured that he will do more films in Tamil soon.
'Varisu' Tamil version is releasing on the announced date on Jan 11, and the FDFS for the film to open at 4 AM IST. As Vijay's 'Varisu' and Ajith's 'Thunivu' are releasing on the same date, theatre owners across locations have split their screens and show equally for both movies.
