Vandi will be a visual treat: Vidaarth

Vidaarth has wrapped up his next, Vandi, a non-linear film.

Vidaarth

has wrapped up his next, Vandi, a non-linear film. “We have seen several non-linear scripts in

Kollywood

. But the screenplay and making of

Vandi

will be something different. There are four stories in the film and they all meet at one common point because of a conflict, which involves a bike. The film is narrated in an entertaining manner and will not be too serious. I play the role of a hotel supplier... something that I haven’t done before. An incident happens in his life and it is then that the four stories start travelling in parallel tracks. I am looking forward to this project and it will certainly be a visual treat for the audience,” says Vidaarth.

The film is directed by

Rashid Bala

, an associate of Malayalam filmmaker Lal Jose (of Ayalum Njanum Thammil fame). “The film was shot completely in Chennai. The crew had erected a set in Adyar... that of a colony. But the audiences wouldn’t be able to guess as the art team has done it in a realistic manner,” says Vidaarth, adding, “As an actor, the role was not much of a challenge for me. The cameraman and director were the ones who faced the real challenge. It is a complete director’s film.”
