The number of COVID cases across the country has been increasing slowly over the last couple of weeks and celebrities from the film fraternity who travel a lot also seem to be getting affected by the deadly coronavirus despite taking safety precautions. While director Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that he has tested positive and admitted himself at a private hospital, the latest to test postive is actress Vaibhavi Shandilya, who was last seen in Santhanam starrer 'Sever Sundaram' in Tamil.

The pretty actress also made her Tamil debut with Santhanm in 'Sakka Podu Podu Raja' and was part of couple of other Tamil films namely 'Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu' and 'Capmaari'. The young heroine took to her social networking page to reveal that she has tested positive for Coronavirus after having mild symptoms like fever, body ache and dry cough.
In a video, Vaibhavi Shandilya said, "So on wednesday I got fever & body ache and I felt too exhausted. So I took my COVID test and it came negative. My doctors had told me that it could be negative because I had tested too early even after showing some symptoms like fever and body aches. I had dry cough also."
"But after three days again, which is yesterday, I tested again for COVID and my result has come, which is positive. It's not just me. It's my mum, dad and me. All three of us are COVID positive. It's not that bad now, the condition of the health is fine."
Vaibhavi also urged fans to stay safe as the number of COVID cases seem to be increasing.
