Deekay’s long-pending film

, which has
Vaibhav playing lead role, will be hitting screens on December 25. The film, the shooting of which began more than two years ago, has Aathmika, Varalaxmi,
Sonam Bajwa, Karunakaran and Ravi Mariya essaying pivotal roles. A horror-comedy, the movie is Deekay’s third dir/ectorial project, after Kavalai Vendam and Yaamirukka Bayamey. Produced by Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green, the makers have earlier announced that the film will hit the screens on April 17, 2020. On Tuesday, the production company took to Twitter to announce the new release date of the movie.
The tweet read, “From the director of Yaamirukka Bayamey comes a solid horror entertainer called #Katteri that will make its way to Theatres near you this Christmas.” The movie, which has ample scope for adventure, is billed as an entertainer for children. Deekay, in an earlier interview, had said that no one else is paired opposite Vaibhav in the film except Sonam. He also added that there won’t be any duet or stereotypical romantic sequence in the film and that each character has something unique to perform.
