'Un Kadhal Irunthal' is taut thriller in the making

The film may be titled Un Kadhal Irunthal, but its director, Hashim Marikar, tells us that it will be a hardcore thriller that revolves around the lives of a bunch of people. The audio of the film, composed by Mansoor Ahmed, was launched in the city recently.
Hashim says, “This is my first directorial venture in Tamil. Our home banner has done about 16 films in Mollywood with top stars like Mammootty and Mohanlal.But I decided to debut in Kollywood because Tamil films have a wider reach. I’ve done MBA in marketing, and have been involved in productions. But direction has always been my calling.”
The film stars Srikanth, Chandrika Ravi, Mollywood actress Lena, Maqbool Salmaan (nephew of Dulquer Salmaan), Riyaz Khan, Vyapuri, Sona, Jenson, Gayathri and Harshika Poonacha among others. He adds, “It’s a single-scene movie; one scene will explain the whole story. Srikanth plays an adamant film director, and Chandrika plays his wife, who is also a former actress. Lena is playing a screenwriter, Maqbool plays a student. Riyaz’s character has a humorous side.”
