Actress Trisha is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film ‘The Road’ with a debut director. The actress was last seen in the lead role in 2018 in the film ‘96’ starring alongside Vijay Sethupathy. She then appeared in an extended cameo role for the film ‘Petta’ portraying Rajinikanth's wife in 2019.

The actress was last seen in the lead role in 2018 in the film ‘96’ starring alongside Vijay Sethupathy. She then appeared in an extended cameo role for the film ‘Petta’ portraying Rajinikanth's wife in 2019. The actress fondly known as ‘South Queen’ will soon be seen in theatres as her film ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ directed by Mani Ratnam is scheduled for its release on September 30.

Meanwhile, actress Trisha took to Instagram to share that she visited Madurai Meenakshi temple. The actress reportedly offered her prayers at the Meenakshi Amman Temple. She was cladded in a brown ethnic wear to her visit to the temple. Look at her post here!

Trisha who celebrated her birthday earlier this month, on May 4, shared the first look of her film ‘The Road’. Featuring Trisha in the poster, the photograph revealed that Trisha will be seen in a new dimension in this movie. ‘The Road’ is directed by debutant Arun Vaseegaran, it also features Santhosh Prathap, Mia George, MS Bhaskar, ‘Dancing Rose’ Shabir and Vivek Prasanna. The music for the movie is composed by Sam CS.
