Cinema stars become popular when they win the audiences' hearts with their roles. Like actors, actresses have also been working hard to give their best to their roles by either learning different skills or adapting a practicing accent or language for various characters. Also, actresses easily attract the audience with their outfits in films which also define their characters to a great extent. And while some actresses look better in ethnic wear, some look better in modern outfits. But there are some others who can carry any outfit with equal grace on the big screen. We take a look at five Tamil actresses from Trisha to Tamannaah, who look perfect in both traditional as well as stylish roles.

​Trisha

The evergreen actress has continued to rule the Tamil film industry for more than 17 years. The star has made sure to maintain herself over the years. Be it her fitness or her beauty and elegance, the actress hasn’t changed at all and that makes her look great in both stylish as well as traditional outfits. Even though Trisha was seen in traditional roles in most of her films, she proved with her look in the film 'Thoongaa Vanam' that she could totally rock the Western outfits as well. She played the role of a police officer and shared screen space with Kamal Haasan in the film.

Nayanthara is fondly called Lady Superstar by fans, and she has developed a strong place for herself in the industry. Nayanthara started her career by doing limited roles but after a few years she started doing stronger roles which were very impactful. And one the factors that resulted in her reaching newer heights of success was her choice of outfits for her various roles. Nayanthara has been very careful while wearing traditional as well as stylish clothes in films. Also, Nayanthara has proved our point in the film 'Airaa', where she played a dual role as a stylish journalist as well as a traditional village girl.

​Nithya Menen

After making her debuts in Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu cinemas, Nithya Menen debuted in Tamil films with the movie '180' alongside Siddharth. The adorable actress attracted the audience with her performance as Tara in the romantic film 'O Kadhal Kanmani', which was directed by Mani Ratnam. Nithya Menen proved her versatility with the back to back films 'Iru Mugan' and 'Mersal', where she played a stylish RAW agent and a village woman respectively. Nithya Menen has also bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Mersal'.

The playback singer-turned-actress debuted as a lead actress with the film 'Pachaikili Muthucharam'. Andrea Jeremiah is selective in choosing her roles, and she was last seen on the big screens in the 2018 film 'Vada Chennai'. The fashionable actress is also known to do films which have importance to the female lead. Andrea Jeremiah's roles in 'Taramani' and 'Vada Chennai' proved her acting skill and also her impressive fashion picks. Next, Andrea is set to play a key role in Vijay's 'Master', which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Apart from the romantic genre of films, the beauty Tamannaah has developed herself as a great dancer and even in the action genre. Tamannaah is one of those actresses who keep practicing new skills to ensure their versatility in the industry. After starting her career in Bollywood, Tamannaah has become one of the leading actresses in South Indian cinema. The star has shown her transformations in acting through her art as well as smart pick in costumes in the film 'Devi', which was directed by AL Vijay.
