Trisha reacts to Mansoor Ali Khan's apology; says "To forgive is divine"

Actress Trisha recently expressed her disagreement over the statement made by Mansoor Ali Khan. Taking to social media, actor Mansoor Ali Khan, after he was denied bail by the court, asked for forgiveness to his co-actor Trisha. In his apology statement, Mansoor Ali Khan said, "The woman police officer told me that Trisha had been hurt.. I told her that even I am."

In his apology to Trisha, the actor wrote, "My co-actress Trisha, Please forgive me! May God bless the fortune for me to bless your Mangalyam (marital necklace) as it goes around in the coconut tray in the auspicious marital ritual! Amen." The actress after his apology on November 24, took to social media to indirectly state that she is ready to forgive. Taking to Twitter, she said, "To err is human,to forgive is divine."

Mansoor Ali Khan who acted in the latest Tamil film 'Leo' said that he expected to share screen space with the actress but was not able to and he made a misogynist comment on the film creating rape scene. His sexist comment came as a a major disappointment to many in the film industry. Chiranjeevi, Nithin, Lokesh Kanagaraj others came forward to speak for the actress and even the National Council for Women pressed a suo moto case.
