Director Atlee is making his debut in Bollywood with the film ‘Jawan’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. The film is an action drama and it features Nayanthara as the female lead and Vijay Sethupathi playing the antagonist. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The movie is scheduled to release in June this year in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Atlee and Priya became parents to a baby boy on January 30. In a Twitter Q&A session, Shah Rukh Khan stated that he has met Atlee’s child and said that the infant boy is sweet and healthy. Atlee and Priya in December announced that they were soon to become parents. The couple is yet to announce the name of their child.

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ was released in theatres on January 25 and a couple of days before that, the film’s trailer was launched and it received huge response from movie audiences all over the country. Atlee took to Twitter to congratulate the actor and replying to that Shah Rukh Khan thanked Atlee and called him the “King of Mass” and said that he is happy as Atlee like the trailer.

Shah Rukh Khan had shot for parts of ‘Jawan’ in Chennai in 2022 and the actor took to social media to share that he was in Chennai for a month and loved the city. Taking to Twitter, Atlee thanked the ‘Pathaan’ actor and stated it was an honour and pleasure hosting him in Chennai. He also thanked Shah Rukh Khan as he agreed to shoot for the film in Chennai, 1000 families were benefited from it as they got regular income.

While Vijay was shooting for ‘Varisu’ in October 2022, Shah Rukh Khan had visited Chennai for his ‘Jawan’ shooting. He accompanied director Atlee amidst his busy schedule and visited Vijay at the sets of ‘Varisu’. It is no doubt that Atlee is a huge fan of Vijay and reportedly stated that he will be directing Vijay’s next – 68^th film. It was a surprise as Shah Rukh Khan accompanied Atlee to meet Vijay in Chennai.
