This is why Atharvaa's film with Sam Anton is titled Trigger

Sam Anton’s next with Atharvaa, Arun Pandian, and Tanya Ravichandran has been titled Trigger. Sam says that this is the perfect title for an out-and-out action film like this one.
“The film talks about a father and his gun, and how it plays a major role in the script. Will he pull the trigger or not is the question? So, we couldn’t find a better title than Trigger for the script. We did have a couple of options, but this one felt perfect,” says Sam, adding, “Also, nowadays, we’re screening our films to global audiences.I felt it would be nice to have a title in English as non-Tamil audiences, too, can easily connect with the film.”
The others in the star cast include Seetha, Krishna, Vinodhini Vaidyanathan, Munishkanth, Chinni Jayanth, Aranthangi Nisha and Anbuthasan. “Krishna and Vinodhini play Atharvaa’s brother and sister-in-law. Both Krishna and Atharvaa are Arun Pandian and Seetha’s children. I wanted to have Seetha on board because Arun Pandian and she have acted in several movies together in the past. I wanted to bring this pair back after a 25-year gap. Arun Pandian plays a retired cop in the film,” says Sam, adding, “Munishkanth, Chinni Jayanth, Nisha, and Anbuthasan play funny cop roles.”
Sam adds that there will be a funny cop song that will be the highlight of the film.
