2' is reportedly about the past of Vettaiyan character and Raghava Lawrence will be replacing Rajinikanth in the sequel. Earlier, Jyotika who played Chandramukhi in the first part was expected to represent the lead role, but the actress reportedly was not proposed for the role. Now, if the reports are true, 'Ms. Dhoni' fame Kiara Advani will be playing the lead role in 'Chandramukhi 2', and she has been roped in to play opposite Raghava Lawrence in the film.
