, perhaps, would be at the top of the most underrated films in the history of Kollywood. The movie, which starred
Karthi,
Reema Sen,
Andrea
and Parthiban among others in lead roles, had completed its tenth year of release a few months ago. The film, when released again as special shows in a few theatres in Chennai city some time ago, opened to great response.
Many, who couldn’t watch it when it hit screens in 2010, were excited to catch up the movie. Some of them couldn’t control their excitement as they came out of the show. A few had put out videos reviewing the film, explaining on the various Easter eggs in it and appreciating the unusual plot and its connection to Chola and Pandya dynasty and several other relevant things apart from the performances of artistes.
On Saturday, unseen stills from the movie’s shooting spot have been doing the rounds. Needless to say, it went viral in no time on the social media platform. One of the stills has crew members explaining a scene to Reema Sen and Andrea while the other has Andrea seen helping Reema to get down in a trench. Though the movie opened to mixed reviews and had put up a dismal performance at the box office, it was later nominated in several categories in the 58
th Filmfare Awards. Ramji’s cinematography and GV Prakash’s music were some of the major attractions in the movie which were appreciated by filmgoers.
