Several notable celebrities embraced their spiritual side by attending the Maha Kumbh this year and partaking in the rituals. Along with Bollywood celebrities like Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Sunil Grover, and Bhagyashree, among several others, actresses Samyuktha, Sanchita Shetty, and Bindu Madhavi were also spotted taking the holy dip at the festival at Prayagraj.
When we contacted Sanchita, she referred to visiting the Mela as a ‘once-in-a-lifetime experience’ and added, “It was inspiring to see people in their 80s and 90s coming there and taking a dip. And there were even two-year olds accompanying their family. We got stuck at a place for one hour and it took us four and a half hours to cross one kilometre. It was jam-packed but is also the highest spiritual experience I have gone through in my life.”
The Soodhu Kavvum actress further said, “I was there for close to two weeks and stayed in a camp with my guru and 500+ meditators of Kriya Yoga. It was absolutely divine because we were meditating every day and going for a dip between 4 and 4.30 in the morning. On the night of January 28, my childhood friends and I went out of the camp and were mesmerised by the sight of swamijis, akhadas, naga sadhus, etc., going for a snan. It was a magical and high-energy atmosphere. January 29 was the Mauni Amavasya, known as the Amrit Snan. I took a dip in Triveni Sangam between 2.30 and 3.30am on that day and could literally feel God within me.”
