'Thani Oruvan 2' to go on floors from August 28

The makers of 'Thani Oruvan' had announced a sequel to the film a few years ago, but the film didn't take off due to the prior commitments of Jayam Ravi. However, the latest buzz suggests that Jayam Ravi and Mohan Raja have planned to reunite for the seventh time, this time for 'TO2'. The official announcement regarding the commencement of 'Thani Oruvan 2' will arrive on August 28 as 'Thani Oruvan' completes 8 years.The shooting of 'Thani Oruvan 2' will be on an extended schedule.
The 2015 Tamil release 'Thani Oruvan' features Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara in lead roles, and the film is about a battle between good and bad. Aravind Swamy played a spectacular negative role to make a strong comeback, and we have to wait to see who will play the antagonist in the sequel to make the battle interesting. The cop thriller is packed with twists and turns, and the film, made on a budget of Rs 10 crore, went on to gross over Rs 100 crore and become a highly profitable film.
Jayam Ravi is currently filming Siren' with director Antony Bhagyaraj and an untitled film helmed by M Rajesh, and both film's shooting has reached the final stage.
