Actor Thaman Kumar, who’s known for his character Chinnarasu in the TV serial Vaanathai Pola, is now playing the lead in Poonga Nagaram, a horror comedy directed by EK Murugan.
Talking about the film, the director says, “The heroine role played by Swetha Dorothy, who has worked in films like Kuthiraivaal and Ippadai Vellum, work in a DTH set-top box shop in Thiruvannamalai.
While the hero is in love with the heroine, she wants him to find a match for her. But later, seeing his goodness, she falls in love with him. However, after engagement, they get kidnapped by gangsters. They manage to escape and go to a park, where the spirits of a couple enter their bodies and take revenge on their killers. The first half of the film will be a comedy while the second half will be a horror movie.”
Another TV artiste, Surendar of (Thirumagalk fame), and Kannada actress Neema Ray will be seen in the roles of the dead couple.
